The Grid Iron Playoff Challenge is an iPad application designed to facilitate management of a fantasy football league during the postseason. It introduces a distinctive playoff format that diverges from traditional league structures, emphasizing strategic selection and adaptability.
The core rules of this format are as follows:
- There is no draft process; each owner is permitted to select any player they wish, allowing for greater flexibility and personalized team composition.
- In week 1, each roster must include at least one player from each of the 12 playoff teams, ensuring comprehensive representation across the league.
- Owners are required to assemble their line-ups in accordance with the standard league roster formation guidelines.
- Player points are multiplied by the number of weeks the player remains active on the roster, rewarding consistency and ongoing contribution.
- If a player's team is eliminated from the playoffs, their position on the roster must be replaced with another player occupying the same position from one of the remaining playoff teams, maintaining competitive integrity throughout the postseason.
